As of April 1st, 2009, we became the Mental Health Support Network South East Ontario Corp.

The Mental Health Support Network South East Ontario Corp. is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care through the South East Local Health Integration Network. Our agency provides support and services within South East Ontario to individuals who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness or who have experienced difficulties with mental illness.

The Mental Health Support Network South East Ontario Corp. strives to provide a leading edge, consultative consumer network with an emphasis on supporting a diversity of individuals within their respective communities within South East Ontario.

We focus on people's unique strengths and abilities.

For the purposes of this document, the term "Consumer" refers to a person 16 years of age or over, with a self-identified Mental Health Issue. Peer Support refers to an established program model in which consumers can be trained and employed as valued and effective counselors to their peers.
